The XRP Ledger marked a significant milestone on July 28 as the fixCleanup3_2_0 upgrade launched with backing from 86% of validators. This update addresses critical fixes across multiple protocol features including Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol, and permissioned components such as the DEX and domains.
Hussein Zangana, known as Vet on X, highlighted the moment as a “flip-of-the-switch” event that makes XRPL 3.2.0 the new minimum version on the mainnet. The changes strengthen the network by adding precision fixes, patching validation issues, and introducing new invariant checks to ensure a cleaner ledger state.
Security and Stability Enhancements
Ripple’s dedicated efforts to harden the XRP Ledger continue with this upgrade, improving transaction accuracy and safeguarding network integrity. The fixCleanup3_2_0 rollout brings sharper rounding logic for vaults and lending, better verification for non-canonical MPT amounts, and enhanced domain and DEX controls. Such thorough improvements reinforce XRP’s infrastructure as it competes in an evolving crypto landscape.
These developments come as Ripple plans to expand its AI-assisted security testing processes, reflecting a growing focus on resilience against novel threats. The community’s quick adoption 30 of 35 validators signals strong consensus and confidence in the upgrade’s benefits.
