Activity on Binance is cooling down, and so is XRP’s presence on exchanges. The total deposits and withdrawals on Binance slid from about 650,000 in June to a current 350,000. This drop pulled XRP back into the spotlight, as these patterns echo the calm before the storm seen ahead of its October 2025 rally. Traders speculate that a fresh accumulation phase might be underway.
Exchange Trends and Network Valuation
Lower transaction counts on exchanges usually indicate a decline in immediate selling. When fewer coins are circulating, it means many holders prefer to keep their assets rather than sell them. Still, this slowing exchange flow doesn’t guarantee positive price movement: overall network engagement with XRP has also decreased, suggesting cautious behavior among investors. Vital indicators like exchange flow highlight how traders are positioning themselves before any major price shifts.
A notable data point is the dramatic uptick in the Network Value to Transaction (NVT) ratio, which surged by 144.21% to 697.6 within a day. This means the market cap grew much faster than the actual transaction volume on the blockchain, a sign that investor confidence is climbing. But this gap also raises a flag: if price growth vastly outpaces use of the network, the token could be at risk of overvaluation. The reduced Binance activity and the high NVT together paint a picture of coins being held tightly, but without a boost in transaction activity, sustaining price gains could prove difficult.
Derivatives Market Bolsters Optimism
Meanwhile, derivatives traders show continued optimism. XRP’s funding rates jumped 52.16% to 0.008685 in the last 24 hours, indicating that holders of long positions are willing to pay a premium to keep their bets alive. Unlike rapid spikes seen in overheated markets, this funding increase reflects steady confidence rather than reckless speculation. The balance suggests bulls remain committed, and speculative risk is controlled.
At press time, XRP hovered around $1.09, repeatedly defending a key support level near $1.05 throughout July. Attempts to push above $1.15 have faltered so far, with momentum fading before triggering a firm breakout. The relative strength index (RSI) sits near 47, showing neither strong bullish nor bearish pressure. For XRP to regain upward thrust, a revival in both exchange activity and on-chain usage appears necessary.
