XRP pushed up to nearly $1.10 on July 30, fueled by fresh inflows into XRP-focused ETFs and a significant move by Aviva Investors. The UK asset manager, which handles around $350 billion, announced plans to launch a tokenized share class of its USD Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger, opening new doors for institutional adoption beyond just payments or crypto speculation.
On July 29, XRP ETFs recorded net inflows of $584,000, breaking a four-day pause and continuing a three-week streak of net positive weekly flows. Despite this, the daily inflows remain modest compared to XRP’s hefty $1.26 billion spot trading volume, indicating cautious but growing interest from investors.
Price-wise, XRP fluctuated between $1.0685 and $1.0950, closing at $1.0917, a 1.68% gain from the previous day. The token has yet to break out decisively, staying just under the daily resistance level near $1.0975, represented by the 20-day middle Bollinger Band. Crossing this threshold could open the path toward the upper band at $1.1395, which would mean a roughly 4.4% rally from current levels.
Market momentum remains neutral. The relative strength index (RSI) sits at 47.58, slightly below its signal line and under the neutral 50 mark. This signals that while buying pressure has improved since late June, sellers are still active, keeping gains in check. XRP has been trading sideways since early July after a steep drop from above $1.40 in May.
Looking ahead, the presence of liquidation clusters near $1.10 and $1.065 might influence short-term price moves, potentially causing volatile swings around those levels.
Aviva Investors’ adoption of the XRP Ledger marks a noteworthy development in bridging traditional finance and crypto technologies, aligning with growing institutional interest in tokenized assets. This move complements broader market trends where firms explore innovative uses for blockchain beyond mere payments.
