Ripple’s XRP escrow balance stands at 32.445 billion tokens, according to a fresh update shared by members of the XRP community. This figure aims to clear up confusion from various social media posts that have cited conflicting or outdated amounts.
Hussein Zangana, community director at the XRP Ledger Foundation known as Vet on X, confirmed the number using data from the XRP Ledger explorer, XRPScan. The explorer reveals key details such as the circulating supply, total XRP burned, and the current escrow holdings.
As of now, the circulating supply is about 67.5 billion XRP, with 14.3 million XRP burned and over 32.4 billion XRP locked in escrow. Activated accounts on the XRP Ledger have reached just over 8 million. Vet also emphasized Ripple’s transparency, noting that the company publicly lists its operational accounts and addresses on the XRPL toml file, validated through Ripple’s UNL signature.
In related news, Ripple recently launched Ripple Mint to streamline institutional access and management of Ripple USD (RLUSD), enhancing the operational experience for users handling the stablecoin.
