Venice Token (VVV) surged 11% on Tuesday, rising to $12.84 and overcoming a persistent descending resistance line that had blocked upward moves since its June 3 peak of $21.47. This breakout concludes a six-week price correction that bottomed slightly under $10.

Momentum Indicators Signal Trend Shift

The daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) preceded the price rally by breaking above its downtrend several sessions earlier, suggesting an early trend reversal. The RSI bottomed near 32 in early July during the price dip near $10 and has since climbed past the 50 midline, now stabilizing around 55. This level indicates momentum still has room to grow before reaching overbought territory at 70. However, a drop back below 50 during a pullback could undermine the signal.

Volume Analysis Supports Intraday Strength

While daily volume has been declining since May implying a cautious confirmation of the breakout hourly volume data tell a stronger story. Between July 18 and Tuesday morning, VVV traded within a channel from approximately $11.35 to $12.05. The price then broke above this range accompanied by the largest hourly volume spike during the recovery phase.

The hourly RSI peaked at 83 during this surge and pulled back to 70, making a retest of the $12.00 to $12.05 range a probable next move. Holding this zone could establish new support and mirror bullish conditions seen before the May rally.

Price Targets and Fundamental Catalysts

Fibonacci retracement levels indicate the correction bottom aligned closely with the 0.618 retracement near $9.33, validating the recent low. The immediate target is the 0.382 retracement around $13.97, where VVV previously stalled multiple times. Reaching this level would represent an approximate 9% gain from Tuesday’s close.

A sustained rise above $14 would shift focus to the 0.236 retracement level at about $16.83, offering a potential 31% increase. The all-time high of $22.58 from January 2025 remains the ultimate resistance point. Conversely, failure to hold above $14 with a drop below $12 could invalidate the bullish momentum and reopen the $10 support area.

Fundamental developments may accelerate the price move. Venice AI announced on July 17 a token burn mechanism that uses $5 from every $100 spent on API credits to buy and burn VVV tokens automatically, tightening supply. The token also spearheaded a broader altcoin rally in May.
