Approximately 70% of cryptocurrency traders are ready to entrust their portfolio management entirely to artificial intelligence systems without human review, according to a survey of around 1,400 participants. This trend indicates a significant shift in the adoption of AI tools within crypto trading, moving beyond niche experimental use into mainstream acceptance.

Widespread Use and Positive Outcomes of AI Trading Tools

More than half of the surveyed traders, specifically 51%, report using AI-driven tools regularly for research or trading activities several times per week. also 77% have employed general AI chatbots to investigate crypto positions within the last three months, highlighting that comfort with autonomous AI management is frequently based on practical experience rather than theoretical openness. Among those who followed AI-generated trade recommendations, 55% reported successful results, 41% experienced mixed outcomes, and only 4% encountered complete failures. Although self-reported data may carry optimism bias, the low failure rate shows a degree of reliability perceived by traders.

Generational Variations in Trust and Control Preferences

The survey reveals marked generational differences regarding the acceptance of autonomous AI portfolio management. Younger traders, including 38% of Gen Z and 37% of Millennials, are over three times more likely than Boomers (11%) to allow AI full, unsupervised control of their crypto investments. This disparity suggests younger generations possess greater trust in AI technology, reflecting broader trends in digital adoption within these age groups.

Demand for Advanced AI Tools Influences Exchange Choices

A significant 79% of respondents indicate willingness to switch crypto exchanges entirely if it means gaining access to superior AI-powered trading features. The most valued capability in autonomous AI systems is the ability to provide real-time notifications paired with immediate permission revocation, a preference consistent across all age groups. Such demands suggest that future developments in exchange platforms will likely prioritize enhanced AI functionalities to attract and retain traders.
