The number of tokenized equity holders climbed to 766,336 on July 28, marking a 93% increase in just 30 days. This rapid expansion reflects a growing appetite for blockchain-based stock assets, fueled primarily by Robinhood Chain's recent market entry.

Explosive Growth Driven by Robinhood Chain

Tokenized stock ownership has nearly doubled since late June, leaping from about 396,000 holders to the current record. When measured from the start of this year, the growth is even more remarkable, with a 527% rise. The surge is largely attributed to Robinhood Chain, which launched its token platform less than a month ago but now commands 15 of the top 25 most held tokens.

Robinhood tokens account for 268,162 holders, representing 35% of the entire tokenized equity base and 55% of the top 25 tokens combined. NVIDIA leads with 30,145 holders within this group, followed closely by Apple, SpaceX, Alphabet Class A, and Tesla. These figures highlight the platform's strong influence in shaping tokenized equity trends.

Counting Challenges and Market Dynamics

The proliferation of token types complicates the holder count, as multiple tokens can represent the same underlying stock. For example, NVIDIA appears three times across different token standards, totaling 112,959 holders. This overlap inflates the apparent market size but also signals diversified access pathways for investors.

July's tokenized equity boom aligns with broader crypto market movements, including Bitcoin's recent volatility. This trend invites comparison with other sectors experiencing flux, such as semiconductor stocks grappling with mixed sentiments amid global market shifts, as seen in KOSPI's recent slump.
