Four years. No buys, no sells, no disclosed transfers. Tesla's Bitcoin position has sat at 11,509 BTC without a single reported move since the company first built the holding, and the latest investor-relations filing confirms that nothing has changed.
The figure comes directly from Tesla's SEC filings, including the 2022 Form 10-Q and a more recent Tesla-hosted investor document. Neither shows a new transaction. At current market prices the stash has been valued at around $1.24 billion, though the filing itself does not attach a fresh valuation. The reportable fact here is the absence of activity, not a new trade.
That might sound like a non-story, but corporate Bitcoin treasuries are usually anything but static. Compare Tesla's approach to the active accumulation plays you see elsewhere: Satsuma Technology shareholders just voted to liquidate a 668 BTC treasury entirely, which is about as far from Tesla's posture as you can get. Tesla has not added a single coin since its original purchase, and it has not sold any either, at least not in any disclosed form.
The last time Tesla moved its Bitcoin was back in 2022, when the company sold roughly 75% of its holdings at the time. What remained was 11,509 BTC, and that number has not shifted in the filings since. No on-chain transfer evidence contradicts it, and no analyst note in the filing package points to an unreported move.
There is no price commentary attached to this update, no forward guidance from management, and no signal about whether Tesla intends to hold, sell, or add. The filing simply reflects continuity. For a company that made headlines when it first bought Bitcoin in early 2021 and again when it sold most of it a year later, the current chapter is defined entirely by stillness.
