Solana is hovering just above the $73 level, a critical support zone that could define its short-term direction. Right now, SOL trades around $73.90, close to a key Fibonacci retracement and a rising trendline that’s supported the asset’s bounce since June. Buyers have stepped in at this band multiple times already, signaling that this area holds significance.

But the pressure isn’t easing. SOL still struggles under resistance that’s come down from July’s high near $84. To push higher, Solana needs to clear $77 convincingly, which would strengthen the case for a rally toward $80 and possibly back up to $84. Failing to hold $73 risks breaking the string of higher lows, potentially sending prices down to secondary support around $71 and then deeper to the $68-$64 range.

If SOL slips below $64.46, it might revisit lows near $60 seen back in June, highlighting a more pronounced correction. On the flip side, reclaiming and holding above $77 could confirm renewed buying momentum and keep the recovery intact.

Long-term, analysts eye $500 and $1,000 price targets for Solana, but these remain far off and contingent on several breakouts. The weekly chart shows SOL resting just above Fibonacci support close to $73, with a broader accumulation zone dipping to roughly $52 where strong buying interest has appeared historically.

Maintaining the $52 to $73 zone would keep the bullish outlook alive. Still, a sustained drop below this range might reveal deeper support near $32.50, casting doubt on the longer-term uptrend. The path to the $500 target requires clearing resistance around $101 and then overcoming more formidable barriers between $180 and $295, areas close to Solana’s previous record highs.

Only after those obstacles fall could the $500 and later $1,000 levels become realistic. Such gains would represent a roughly 1,900% rise from the current support zone, but reaching them depends heavily on Solana repeating prior breakout and retest behaviors.

For now, SOL sits at a crossroads, with $73 acting as a key line in the sand that could either sustain the recovery or invite a deeper pullback.
