Solana is clinging to a key support level near $74-$75, even as its SOL/BTC pair hints at a fresh burst of strength. This holding pattern may set the stage for a move up to $84, with further upside targets at $90 and potentially $98 on the horizon.
Key Support at $74 Keeps Recovery Hopes Alive
The SOL token is currently trading around $75.50 after buyers stepped in to defend a support range between $74.18 and $74.31. This range's importance is underscored by its past role as resistance before Solana's breakout in July, making the recent retest a critical moment for bulls. Analyst Ansem points out that staying above this level preserves the possibility of pushing toward resistance near $83-$84.
If SOL manages to break above this zone on a sustained basis, it could aim first at the June high of $83.10 and then challenge weekly resistance near $83.91. Passing these hurdles would signal stronger momentum and pave the way to higher price levels, with $98.40 as a notable long-term target. However, dropping below $73.67 would cast doubt on the recovery, and further slips under $72.46 could expose support zones near $71 and $70.70. The bullish case weakens substantially below $67.50; while still intact for now, buyers need to retake $84 to keep the uptrend credible.
SOL/BTC Pair Shows Early Signs of Strength Against Bitcoin
Meanwhile, the SOL/BTC chart is breaking free from a descending pattern that had lasted several weeks. According to analyst Justin Bennett, holding above $75.06 through daily and weekly closes would confirm a bullish shift, supporting a climb toward $84 and the May imbalance near $90.
The pair recently bounced off the lower boundary of a falling channel, signaling potential renewed strength relative to Bitcoin. Moving toward approximately 0.0012586 BTC would bolster confidence in the bullish outlook for SOL priced in dollars. Relative strength here is a key confirmation that Solana’s demand is extending beyond general crypto market recovery.
The first major resistance to watch in dollar terms is near $84, where SOL has previously encountered selling pressure. Clearing this level could open the way to the $90 area, tied to an unfilled market imbalance from May. Still, if SOL falls back under $75 support, the breakout attempt may falter, undermining the positive outlook.
At present, Solana holds a constructive stance above $75. A sustained close above this threshold paired with a rising SOL/BTC would strengthen the narrative for gains toward $84 and perhaps $90.
