Securitize has taken a major step by registering its subsidiary, Securitize Capital LLC, as an investment adviser with the SEC. This move enables the company to expand beyond its existing roles in regulation, issuance, and transfer services into offering advisory capabilities.
Previously focused on broker-dealer, transfer agent, and ATS operations, Securitize now adds investment advisory to its service repertoire, allowing it to support asset managers, institutional investors, and other sophisticated market participants more comprehensively.
The registration resolves a key regulatory challenge for institutions seeking compliant access to tokenized products. It positions Securitize as more than just a technology infrastructure provider, reflecting its growing influence in the tokenized real-world assets (RWA) market, which recently hit $3.8 billion.
Among its activities, Securitize Capital LLC handles tokenized Treasuries, money market funds, and private credit, and serves as a primary on-chain registrar for BlackRock’s BUIDL fund. This new advisory status aligns with broader industry moves gearing up for blockchain-based products undercoming regulatory frameworks like MiCA and ETF approvals in 2026.
The expansion marks a notable shift in the competitive landscape as other RWA platforms and asset managers launch similar offerings. Securitize’s move signals readiness to meet growing institutional demand in the coming wave of tokenization innovations.
