Ripple introduced Ripple Mint, a new platform launched to help businesses mint, redeem, and manage Ripple USD (RLUSD) more efficiently through both web and API access.

This move targets financial institutions increasingly relying on digital dollars for payments and blockchain settlements, replacing manual processes with automated, programmable workflows.

Ripple Mint is accessible to existing RLUSD users and integrates stablecoin operations directly into institutional systems. The platform provides real-time monitoring and automation of RLUSD transactions, aiming to simplify treasury management.

Users can mint and redeem RLUSD, bridge the stablecoin across supported blockchains, and receive webhook alerts for key events like fiat settlements and blockchain transfers.

RLUSD is issued by the Standard Custody & Trust Company, LLC, regulated under the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), ensuring compliance and transparency for banks, fintech, and exchanges.

Beyond XRPL and Ethereum, RLUSD is expanding to additional blockchains including XRPL EVM Sidechain, Base, Optimism, Ink, and Unichain to broaden its utility across exchanges, DeFi, and payments.

This multichain expansion supports stronger XRP liquidity and settlement services, responding to rising institutional demand amid increased regulatory clarity. Unlike many stablecoins boosting market share by supply growth, RLUSD’s unique edge lies in being fully regulated and interoperable across chains.

Ripple plans to keep evolving Ripple Mint into a major hub for institutional stablecoin transactions and liquidity management.
