On August 1, investors will see over $77 million worth of BEAT, EIGEN, and ZETA tokens unlocked, potentially shifting market supply and pressure. The biggest chunk comes from BEAT, with $67.78 million unlocking, representing nearly 7% of its circulating supply.
BEAT’s price surged 32.1% in the week leading up to the unlock, trading between $2.19 and $3.69. Despite this rally, the token dipped 1% in the last 24 hours and sits near $3.16. Trading volume also spiked 148%, reaching $37.84 million daily, but the unlock amount is about 1.8 times that, hinting at potential selling pressure once tokens hit the market.
EigenCloud’s EIGEN tokens will add 38.35 million units worth $7.87 million, making up just over 5% of its circulating supply. Meanwhile, ZetaChain will release 44.43 million ZETA tokens valued at $1.42 million, approximately 3% of circulation.
Audiera, the entity behind BEAT, recently reported burning nearly 800,000 tokens in a week, reducing supply by more than 17 million tokens overall. However, the incoming August unlock is 26.7 times larger than the weekly burn rate, meaning the market might face an oversupply without enough burning activity to offset it.
BEAT’s market cap stands close to $965.6 million, so the unlock represents roughly 7% of this valuation. If every unlocked token hits the market, its tradable supply would grow by over 20 million, from about 309 million to 330 million tokens.
The interplay of these large token unlocks with recent price movements will be key to watch, especially as BEAT faces resistance near $3.69, its weekly high. Investors and traders will likely follow how much selling pressure emerges from holders receiving these newly available tokens.
