On July 27, 2026, OranjeBTC quietly expanded its Bitcoin treasury by 6 BTC, raising its total to 3,918 coins.
Trading as OBTC3.SA on Brazil’s main stock exchange, the firm began public trading with about 3,650 BTC via a reverse merger.
Since listing, OranjeBTC has steadily increased its Bitcoin stash by approximately 268 BTC, marking a 7.3% growth in less than a year.
This slow and steady accumulation isn’t matching the pace of giants like MicroStrategy but places OranjeBTC in the top 25 corporate Bitcoin holders worldwide.
The company’s average purchase price is over $100,000 per BTC, indicating it buys at relatively high levels rather than chasing lows.
An exception to its acquisition pattern came in October 2025 when OranjeBTC briefly paused buying to repurchase about 99,600 shares for $220,000.
Holding Bitcoin in Brazil carries unique implications. The Brazilian real’s significant decline against the dollar over the past decade makes Bitcoin an attractive hedge against local currency weakness, not just a speculative asset.
OranjeBTC’s strategy to hold only Bitcoin, avoiding other cryptocurrencies, echoes approaches popularized by figures like Michael Saylor, adjusted for Brazil’s currency dynamics.
For investors, this ongoing accumulation at a premium price signals confidence from a sophisticated buyer group that current Bitcoin prices are acceptable entry points.
However, the downside risk is clear: with a cost basis above $100K, the treasury would underperform if Bitcoin slips below six figures for an extended stretch.
Watching how OranjeBTC balances Bitcoin accumulation and capital allocation is key, especially since it recently toggled between buying Bitcoin and conducting share buybacks.
