Oracle’s stock surged nearly 7 percent to $125.76 following a significant expansion of its AI partnership with Google Cloud. The deal integrates Google’s Gemini AI models into Oracle's Fusion Applications and NetSuite platforms, amplifying Oracle’s enterprise software capabilities as businesses demand more versatile AI tools and cost-effective automation.
Gemini Models Enhance Oracle's AI Agent Studio and Automation
With this update, Gemini models will be embedded in Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, allowing customers and partners to build intelligent agents that automate complex business workflows. These models support tasks like reasoning, generating presentations, and handling multimodal inputs including video. Oracle’s platform already includes models from various providers, but the addition of Gemini offers greater flexibility to match AI models with specific tasks based on cost, speed, and performance requirements. The integration aims to streamline approvals, decisions, and transactions by connecting AI outputs directly into governed workflows within core business functions.
Broader AI Capabilities in Fusion and NetSuite
Oracle is also embedding Gemini features directly into Fusion Applications, which cover areas such as finance, HR, supply chain management, and customer service. These AI enhancements are expected to improve forecasting, document processing, and operational analytics across these domains. In parallel, NetSuite will utilize Gemini to boost automation and visibility for fast-growing businesses, making routine tasks more efficient. While Oracle has yet to disclose a complete rollout timeline for these capabilities, the move clearly strengthens its cloud AI offering and deepens Google Cloud’s access to Oracle’s extensive global customer base.
