Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin Trust recently surpassed $400 million in cumulative inflows, signaling renewed institutional interest in Bitcoin. This move adds to the $51.83 billion already accumulated through U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs, highlighting meaningful demand from large investors despite some volatility.

Institutional Flows and Miner Activity Influence BTC

Even as these inflows grow, there were daily outflows of around $240 million, showing uneven short-term demand as Bitcoin hovered below the psychologically important $65,000 mark. Concerns linger over whether institutional buying alone can drive a recovery.

Nonetheless, on-chain data points to potential upside. Bitcoin’s MVRV Z-Score is at 0.39, indicating that BTC is trading close to its Realized Value. Historically, readings near this level have coincided with accumulation phases, though this metric doesn’t conclusively signal a market bottom.

Meanwhile, miners have cut back on selling. Transfers from miners to exchanges dropped to 968 BTC, the lowest monthly figure observed recently. Reduced selling pressure like this can help sustain gains if new demand keeps increasing. However, it remains unclear if miners have ceased selling through other channels.

Technical Barriers and What Lies Ahead

The $65,000 mark continues to act as a key resistance level. What was once a support area flipped into resistance after May’s price drop, constraining further rallies. Bitcoin is currently trading under several unfilled market gaps, the largest one sitting above $65,000. Traders watch this level closely, knowing markets sometimes revisit these inefficiencies before setting a new trend, though a gap fill is not guaranteed.

Technical indicators show mixed signals. Bitcoin’s Stochastic RSI stands near 31, approaching the oversold region below 20, which suggests weakening momentum but doesn’t confirm a reversal on its own. If Bitcoin can decisively break above $65,000, it would mark a strengthening in market structure and improve the recovery outlook.

Combining gains in ETF demand, reduced miner selling, and this critical technical test makes $65,000 a key threshold. The market’s response there will shape the near-term trajectory of Bitcoin’s price.
