Coinbase announced it will start accepting deposits for GRVT, the native token of the hybrid on-chain trading platform Grvt. The deposit feature will go live once Grvt unlocks token transfers, a key step before full trading begins on the exchange.

This move puts Coinbase alongside other exchanges like KuCoin and Bybit, which are gearing up to offer GRVT trading pairs. KuCoin plans to open GRVT/USDT trading on July 30, 2026, signaling a coordinated push by several platforms to list the token simultaneously.

What GRVT Brings to the Table

Grvt combines elements of decentralized infrastructure with the trading convenience found on centralized platforms. It offers perpetual futures across various assets, including cryptocurrencies, stocks, and commodities. Its unified balance system also allows users to earn yield on collateral while maintaining margin positions, blending capital efficiency with versatile trading.

The GRVT token itself is an ERC-20 built on Ethereum with a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens. It functions as both a utility and membership token, giving holders benefits like reduced trading fees and access to exclusive products within the Grvt ecosystem.

Coinbase added GRVT to its asset listing roadmap earlier in July, showing the token was under review before deposit support was announced. However, the exact timing for deposits depends entirely on when Grvt’s team decides to enable transfers.

Raising $33.3 million in funding, Grvt’s strong backing and the coordinated exchange listings point to significant market interest. As multiple top-tier exchanges prepare to list GRVT, the token’s launch could mark a notable moment for hybrid trading platforms.
