BitSafe has launched the public beta of Decentralization Manager, a new open-source framework designed to simplify the creation of decentralized financial applications on Canton Network. Supported by a $1 million grant from the Canton Foundation, this tool empowers developers and institutions to build products with shared control across multiple operators.

Streamlining Institutional-Grade Infrastructure

Canton Network plays a vital role in enabling institutions to bring real capital and operations on-chain. However, until now, teams had to individually develop complex custody, governance, and audit systems to meet institutional standards. Decentralization Manager changes that by providing reusable infrastructure components, allowing builders to focus solely on their applications.

Independently audited by Quantstamp, the framework supports critical features such as token issuance, multi-signature custody wallets, and governance for tokenized real-world assets. These capabilities pave the way for institutions to deploy sophisticated financial products like decentralized exchanges, lending platforms, and structured products, all while maintaining distributed trust and auditability.

Real-World Use and Economic Incentives

The first live implementation of Decentralization Manager is CBTC, Canton’s initial non-native asset. With over 10 million transactions recorded so far, node operators behind CBTC share in Canton’s transaction fees, creating a financial incentive for high-quality participation. Decentralization Manager now extends this model network-wide, connecting developers to reliable node operators who earn fees in exchange for supporting decentralized applications.

This development marks a significant step forward for institutional blockchain adoption, lowering barriers to deploying complex on-chain products while mitigating operational risks. As more projects utilize this infrastructure, Canton Network could solidify its position as a privacy-focused hub for institutional DeFi.
