Starting August 1, Bitget Wallet cardholders will be able to turn their purchase rewards into Bitcoin, tokenized gold, U.S. stock tokens, ETFs, or USDC with the new Assetback feature. Instead of receiving traditional cashback, eligible users can automatically convert rewards into one of seven crypto or tokenized asset options.

The Assetback program offers a base reward rate of 2%, which can increase to 3% during certain booster periods for qualifying users. Once rewards accumulate at least one USDC, they become redeemable seven days after the transaction. Cardholders can pick from Bitcoin, Tether Gold, tokenized shares of Nvidia, Tesla, and Alphabet, an S&P 500-linked ETF, or USDC. Users are allowed to switch their chosen reward asset once per month to suit their investment preferences.

How Tokenized Stocks Work

These tokenized stocks, powered by xStocks, represent real shares held in custody, offering one-to-one backing for each token. However, owning these tokens is not the same as holding traditional shares through a brokerage; rights, trading options, and protections depend on the platform and regional regulations. This new asset-backed rewards program replaces Bitget Wallet’s previous zero-fee cashback system, so users should pay attention to regional fees, monthly caps, and potential exclusions on certain merchant categories or transactions.
