Access to Binance's platform is now available to users of PLDT, the Philippines' largest internet service provider, ending a partial blackout that followed the exchange's ban earlier this year. The restoration completes coverage alongside Globe, the country's other major ISP, allowing Filipinos to reach Binance without restrictions.

How Binance Made Its Comeback

This reinstatement comes through collaboration with BlockShoals, Binance's local partner operating under the Securities and Exchange Commission's StratBox sandbox framework. This regulatory sandbox setup offers a controlled environment for financial innovation while ensuring compliance amid ongoing scrutiny of crypto platforms in the country. Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao confirmed the approval of this "very special" sandbox license on X, highlighting that Filipino peso fiat channels have also been re-enabled.

What This Means for Filipino Traders

Filipino users can now smoothly access Binance's services on both dominant ISPs, which is significant given the platform's widespread popularity in the region. The previous 2024 ban had disrupted trading and withdrawals, pushing many to find alternative exchanges or face liquidity issues. The resumption signals a regulatory breakthrough and potential easing of tensions between Binance and Philippine authorities. Traders can expect improved transaction flows and renewed confidence in the platform’s operational legitimacy locally.
