Aave is considering shutting down six V3 blockchain markets and offboarding 50 reserves with minimal activity. The move follows a recommendation from DeFi risk management service LlamaRisk, which advised winding down all reserves on Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos.

Most of these markets already saw preliminary action toward closure before the recommendation. This step reflects a growing focus on streamlining liquidity and reducing risks linked to low-utilization reserves, which can complicate protocol management and user experience.
