Vivakor's stock surged nearly 187% on Monday following the announcement of four crude oil purchase and sale agreements expected to generate $289 million annually in commercial activity. These deals, executed through Vivakor Supply & Trading, LLC, will commence on August 1, 2026, and extend through July 31, 2027, with automatic monthly renewals thereafter.
The new contracts will expand Vivakor's marketed volumes by 3.6 million barrels annually, reaching a total of approximately 8.1 million barrels per year across all commercial operations. Monthly activity from these transactions is projected at about $24.1 million.
Trading under these agreements will take place in the Cushing and Midland crude oil markets, utilizing Enterprise's Cushing and Midland locations as trading hubs. This marks a broadening of Vivakor's involvement in two of North America's most significant crude oil benchmarks.
Commercial Activity and Revenue Model
With the addition of these deals, Vivakor's total recurring commercial programs now represent roughly $709 million in yearly activity. However, the company clarified that it only recognizes a small fraction of the total contract value as gross profit due to its intermediary role in the supply chain.
The gross profit will fluctuate based on a range of factors, including market conditions, commodity prices, deal structures, and actual delivery volumes. The figures of $289 million and $709 million reflect the scale of contracts managed rather than Vivakor's net revenue or profits.
Vivakor operates as an integrated energy services provider, encompassing transportation, storage, reuse, and remediation. It manages one of the largest oilfield trucking fleets in the continental United States, supporting its expanding trading activities with solid physical infrastructure.
The company’s Supply & Trading division has been actively growing its counterparty network in key U.S. crude hubs, and these four new agreements are the latest step in expanding that platform.
