Luo is an elected member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva, with works displayed permanently in the White House and Musée Ariana in Switzerland.
Critics emphasize Luo’s departure from traditional utilitarian ceramics, describing his work as dismantling the ‘functional illusion’ of pottery. A 1999 Auckland exhibition review praised his art for transcending aesthetics by challenging material limits.
