Ripple has allocated $250,000 in RLUSD-funded grants to support 25 veteran- and military spouse-owned businesses through a partnership with Hire Heroes USA. Each company received $10,000 to aid in business growth and hiring initiatives.

The grant program, called The Ripple Effect: Certified Veteran Employer Grants, targets enterprises with at least 51% ownership by veterans or military spouses. Recipients are expected to hire from the military community within the next 12 to 18 months. Along with funding, the program provides training through Hire Heroes USA’s Certified Veteran Employer course and access to over 20,000 military-connected job seekers.

Workforce Development and Growth Support

Rather than a simple funding handout, Ripple paired its investment with workforce development. Recipients gain recruiting tools, employer resources, and guidance on creating veteran-ready workplaces. This approach aims to stimulate both business expansion and employment opportunities for veterans and their families.

The 25 companies span sectors such as information technology, cybersecurity, consulting, and professional services. Ripple’s director of social impact, Jonathan Perri, emphasized the importance of veteran and military spouse-owned businesses as drivers of innovation and job creation.

This initiative builds on Ripple’s broader commitment to veteran employment, including a prior pledge of $25 million in RLUSD tokens to Hire Heroes USA and the Accion Opportunity Fund. Ripple projects this support will generate roughly 14,000 jobs and features plans for a fintech career development program.
