Falcon Finance has launched its USDf payment card, now accessible to verified users in more than 90 jurisdictions. The card enables the use of USDf, an overcollateralized synthetic dollar, for daily spending without annual fees.
Tokenized Collateral Powers Spending
The USDf card integrates Falcon's synthetic dollar, which users can mint by depositing approved collateral or acquire on secondary markets. Supported collateral includes stablecoins, major cryptocurrencies, tokenized gold represented by Tether Gold, and tokenized equities like Coinbase, Nvidia, Strategy, and Tesla shares issued through Ondo Finance. This approach allows holders of tokenized assets to unlock dollar liquidity for spending without selling their underlying assets.
Card Features and Market Position
The Falcon Card is designed for payments both online and in physical stores, as well as through mobile wallets where supported. Falcon has imposed no annual subscription fees or additional transaction fees on card usage, although standard foreign exchange fees may apply. Funds used with the card are dedicated to spending and do not generate yield; users interested in returns must stake USDf separately to receive sUSDf, a yield-bearing token. This launch reflects a broader movement in the crypto space to bridge the gap between onchain tokenized assets and everyday consumer payments, positioning USDf as a liquidity conduit for tokenized real-world assets.
