Despite Avalanche's C-Chain experiencing a dramatic surge in daily transactions, its native token AVAX continues to struggle with price declines. Over the past year, the network's activity has expanded significantly, yet the token's market performance remains subdued.
Transaction Volume Growth and Network Activity
On-chain data reveals that Avalanche's average daily transactions escalated from roughly 300,000 in April and May 2025 to a peak of 6.2 million on July 13, marking nearly a 20x increase within twelve months. However, this activity has displayed volatility; in the last 24 hours, transactions fell by 9% to 2.62 million.
Meanwhile, the AVAX burn rate has risen despite transaction dips, reaching approximately 135.65 AVAX burned in a day compared to 130.51 the previous day, reflecting a 4% increase in token deflation.
Stablecoin Market Expansion on Avalanche
Avalanche's stablecoin market cap has also expanded sharply, briefly surpassing $2 billion before retreating to around $1.90 billion at present. The stablecoin supply increased over 43% within one week, positioning Avalanche within the top 10 networks by stablecoin volume. Yet, recent data from DefiLlama indicates an 11% weekly decline in stablecoin market cap to approximately $1.59 billion.
Price Performance and Market Sentiment
AVAX price charts display a clear downtrend. After consolidating between $8.37 and $10.48 from February to June, the token broke below the $8 support level and has since been trading sideways between $6.23 and $7.10 since early June.
Trading data shows a bearish market structure with 22,820 AVAX sold in 24 hours despite some buyer momentum. The broader cryptocurrency market's weakness is also impacting AVAX's price action.
