XRP is gaining momentum as its price pattern and technical indicators signal a potential major move. The cryptocurrency has been consolidating around $1.10 after hitting a cycle peak near $3.65 last year. Analysts are watching critical resistance levels that could determine XRP's next trend direction.

Accumulation Pattern Mirrors Amazon's Pre-Breakout Phase

Market analyst ChartNerd highlights that XRP's long-term chart formation resembles the setup Amazon had before its historic multi-year expansion. Both assets spent years consolidating below a significant resistance zone while forming higher lows a pattern characteristic of accumulation phases that usually precede significant price advances.

ChartNerd explains that XRP's extended sideways movement has not undermined its broader bullish outlook. Instead, repeated price corrections have been absorbed by buyers, indicating ongoing accumulation despite market fluctuations. He stresses that the upcoming breakout will be more impactful than the previous consolidation period.

Supporting this view, veteran analyst EGRAG CRYPTO points to XRP's 40-day Relative Strength Index (RSI), currently hovering near 42.7. The analyst notes the importance of the 44 level on the RSI, which previously acted as support before turning into resistance amid recent declines. A clear breakthrough above 44, followed by a retest and further rise toward 47, would confirm a shift back to bullish momentum.

Further advances beyond 47 and then above 50 and 52.85 on the RSI would strengthen the case for a sustained uptrend. Meanwhile, XRP remains confined within a tightening symmetrical triangle, with buyers defending ascending lows and sellers imposing descending resistance. Analysts anticipate that the breakout from this pattern will define XRP's next major price move.

Both ChartNerd and EGRAG view the current technical setup as intact and bullish. If XRP reclaims key resistance zones and the RSI confirms the momentum shift, it may challenge or exceed its previous cycle highs.
