Robinhood Chain secured the top spot in Electric Capital's developer activity ranking less than two weeks after its launch, Alchemy CEO Nikil Viswanathan announced on July 21.
The blockchain, launched earlier this month by the US brokerage Robinhood, benefits from its EVM compatibility and an Arbitrum-based design. Key partners include Alchemy, BitGo, Chainlink, and Uniswap, all of which helped accelerate developer adoption.
Beyond developer metrics, Robinhood Chain shows rapid user growth with strong transaction volume, wallet increases, total value locked (TVL), and active decentralized finance (DeFi) participation.
Electric Capital’s live Developer Report ranks blockchains based on actual code contributions over a 28-day rolling window, rather than social media popularity or GitHub stars. This method reflects where developers are actively focusing their efforts across ecosystems.
Robinhood Chain’s swift rise is notable given that developer communities usually take months or years to mature. The 2025 State of Crypto report from a16z highlighted Ethereum and its layer-2 networks as the main developer hubs last year, making Robinhood’s rapid ascent exceptional.
As an established brokerage entering Web3, Robinhood leverages its existing user base and infrastructure to draw both developers and users quickly. This contrasts with many new blockchains that require longer periods to gain traction.
At the time of reporting, Electric Capital’s dashboard confirms Robinhood Chain’s position as the leading blockchain in developer activity.
