Rangers have made an initial transfer attempt for Václav Černý, but Beşiktaş has rejected their offer of around £5 million. The Turkish club remains firm on their valuation of the Czech winger, who was impressive during his loan at Ibrox in the 2024/25 season.
Following his successful spell, which included 12 league goals in 33 appearances, Rangers are keen to secure Černý on a permanent basis. However, Beşiktaş acquired him for between €5 and €6 million in September 2025, making them reluctant to let him go for a figure they consider insufficient.
Transfer Valuation Discrepancy
Beşiktaş views Černý as a vital part of their setup, holding a current market value estimated at approximately €7 million. This valuation leaves a noticeable gap between their expectations and Rangers' initial bid, which is roughly £5.1 million when converted from euros.
In addition to the transfer fee, Černý's reported weekly wages of £45,000 would make him one of the highest-paid players at Rangers, amounting to around £2.3 million annually. This combined cost indicates that securing Černý would be a significant financial commitment for the Scottish club.
Contractual Situation
With Černý's contract at Beşiktaş extending until June 2028, the Turkish club possesses considerable use in negotiations. There is no urgency for them to sell, as there are no impending contract expiration risks to influence their decision-making process.
Given the current offer and the estimated valuation, Rangers may need to increase their bid into the £5.5 to £6 million range to entice Beşiktaş into serious discussions.
