Hyperliquid's HYPE is sitting on a critical ledge at $57-$58, the 100-day EMA, after sellers pushed it back from a brief foray near $75-$76. NEAR is holding ground above its long-term trend indicators. SHIB is showing the most fragility of the four. DOGE is handling pressure better than its meme-coin peer. All four tokens are being assessed on July 23 as the new trading week opens with elevated liquidity.

Where the Charts Stand

HYPE's situation is the sharpest to watch. The asset ran from $40 to above $70 before sellers intervened, and the pullback has been orderly so far but not painless. Daily candles have been printing lower highs since the June peak, RSI has slipped toward 40, and the 20-day EMA has rolled over. Volume is a fraction of what it was during the $40-to-$70 surge. The 100-day EMA at $57 is being tested for the first time since the original breakout. A hold there keeps the broader uptrend intact. A clear break below it points toward the 200-day EMA near $50. The 50-day EMA sits at $64.7, with buyers needing to reclaim that level before any credible push toward $65 or $70 becomes feasible.

NEAR tells a different story. Rather than correcting from a big rally, it has been quietly consolidating above its long-term moving averages for several weeks, building a base while most altcoins were getting hammered. That kind of slow accumulation structure is less exciting but historically more stable than a sharp vertical move like HYPE's.

SHIB looks the weakest of the group. The chart offers little in the way of near-term support structure, and momentum indicators are not providing bulls with much to work with heading into the week.

DOGE is handling the broader market pressure comparatively well. While it has not broken out, it is not breaking down either, which puts it in a meaningfully better position than SHIB on a relative-strength basis.

How the Market Is Reading It

Traders are treating this stretch as a validation phase rather than a trend reversal. The core question for HYPE is whether the rally from $40 was a genuine structural shift or a speculative overshoot. Holding the 100-day EMA would answer that question in the bulls' favor. Losing it would suggest the market ran ahead of fundamentals. For context, HYPE's 200-day EMA is still rising and currently sits around $50, meaning the long-term trend has not turned negative even if the short-term picture has softened.

The broader altcoin backdrop matters here too. Elevated liquidity at the week's open has given bulls a marginal edge, but momentum across the sector is uneven. NEAR's consolidation could be a quiet setup for a move if risk appetite returns. DOGE's relative resilience makes it a candidate for outperformance if the market tilts bullish. SHIB, for now, is the odd one out.
