HashKey Exchange announced it has secured approval from JPMorgan to open a client money account, a significant boost for Hong Kong's regulated cryptocurrency market. According to the company, this marks the first time an Asian licensed digital asset exchange has received such approval from the U.S. banking giant.
The client money account will support HashKey Exchange's regulated trading activities and enhance how it manages client funds. Operating under Hong Kong's strict digital asset licensing framework, the platform serves both retail and institutional investors looking for compliant ways to trade cryptocurrencies.
HashKey recently launched a new global app unifying its Exchange and Global platforms. This app integrates multiple regional hubs Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and Bermuda under a single user interface while honoring local compliance rules. Clients can trade within their region's regulatory guidelines thanks to this localized yet unified setup.
HashKey Hong Kong offers spot trading, over-the-counter services, supports four fiat currencies, and provides access to around 40 different digital assets. The JPMorgan approval will likely improve client trust and operational efficiency, helping HashKey solidify its foothold in the evolving Asian crypto market.
Following this announcement, trading volumes on HashKey Exchange saw a mild uptick, reflecting growing investor confidence.
