Ethereum has surged above the $1,825 resistance point, aiming for a potential rise toward $2,500. The cryptocurrency's recent strength against Bitcoin supports this bullish outlook, potentially drawing increased investment into Ethereum-native altcoins.

Technical Momentum Builds on ETH Price Chart

Recovering from a low near $1,505 in June, Ethereum broke past short-term moving averages and the critical $1,825 resistance level, now attempting to establish it as support. This position was defended through the latest pullback, indicating buyers remain in control. The next immediate obstacle is around $1,900, where recent upward momentum slowed temporarily. Should ETH surpass this level, targets between $2,000 and $2,100 come into focus ahead of a challenge to prior highs near $2,465. The broader price goal lies between $2,500 and $2,620, achievable if Ethereum continues setting higher lows and retakes resistance levels weakened during earlier declines.

This optimistic scenario is partly linked to potential progress on the CLARITY Act, which remains pending approval. The Senate Banking Committee advanced the legislation in May, followed by a House subcommittee hearing on July 17. However, failure to hold above $1,825 could see ETH testing support at $1,750 and then back near the June low of $1,505.

Ethereum Gains Relative Strength Against Bitcoin

Against Bitcoin, Ethereum is testing the upper boundary of a yearlong descending channel, trading around 0.0285 to 0.029 BTC after rebounding from support near 0.0262 BTC. A sustained weekly close above this channel resistance would signal a notable shift in relative strength and underpin recovery across Ethereum-linked tokens. A confirmed breakout could push ETH/BTC toward 0.030 BTC initially, with a subsequent test of resistance near 0.032 BTC. Conversely, rejection at this resistance would maintain the downtrend, risking retest of the channel's lower boundary at 0.0262 BTC.
