JTRSY just hit a milestone that should make institutional investors sit up and pay attention. The tokenized fund built on Centrifuge's platform has quietly crossed $882 million in assets, making it one of the largest onchain investment products to actually exist in production.

Here's what matters: this isn't some speculative token pumped by retail traders. It's a fund investing in short-duration US Treasury bills, delivering around 4.4% APY over seven days, and it carries an AA+f/S1+ rating from S&P Global. That's the highest credit rating ever assigned to a tokenized fund. Most DeFi protocols would kill for that kind of legitimacy.

How the plumbing actually works

Centrifuge tokenized what used to be called the Anemoy Liquid Treasury Fund, relaunching it as JTRSY in September 2024. Janus Henderson handles the sub-advisory work, picking Treasury bills with maturities between zero and three months. The structure runs on an ERC-7540 vault, a token standard purpose-built for real-world asset tokenization that needs proper deposit and redemption mechanics.

Settlement moves through USDC rails. Whitelisted investors get same-day subscriptions and redemptions. The system uses real-time proof-of-reserves and NAV oracles so everything stays transparent. Current NAV per token sits at $1.11. Management fee is 25 basis points, pulled straight from NAV. About 30 holders are on the books right now, all professional non-US investors operating under British Virgin Islands regulatory oversight.

The fund actually crossed $1 billion in AUM back in Q1 2026 before settling to current levels. S&P's March 2025 rating highlighted the operational resilience, pointing specifically to multisig wallets and what they called an efficient tokenization framework. Moody's also rates it, alongside Particula, a newer ratings shop focused on tokenized products.

What makes JTRSY tick is that it exists onchain as a token. That means institutional money can move it with the speed and programmability of crypto while holding actual Treasury exposure. No middleman settlement delays. No opaque NAV updates. Holders see holdings and performance metrics in real-time.
