Bitwise has revised its Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF (BITW) by incorporating HYPE and XLM, while excluding Polkadot (DOT) and Avalanche (AVAX). This update reflects a notable shift in the preferences of institutional investors relating to digital assets.

The introduction of Hyperliquid (HYPE) is particularly significant, as the altcoin reported impressive growth in the first half of 2026, with transaction volumes reaching $1.34 trillion and protocol revenues of $320 million. HYPE's value surged by roughly 165%, securing its position among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

Following the recent adjustments, HYPE accounts for approximately 0.95% of the ETF's total weighting. Bitcoin continues to dominate with a substantial 77.54% share, while Ethereum ranks second at 13.04%. Other cryptocurrencies in the fund include XRP at 4.21%, Solana at 2.78%, Cardano at 0.39%, Stellar at 0.38%, Chainlink at 0.34%, Litecoin at 0.21%, and Sui at 0.17%.

Bitwise justified the removal of DOT and AVAX by citing their failure to meet requisite criteria regarding market capitalization and weighting necessary for the index.
