Over 20,000 bitcoins landed on exchanges in rapid succession. Analyst Ali Martinez flagged the move as a red light, the kind of volume that usually precedes a selling spree. At the same time, miners dumped roughly 1,774 BTC worth $112 million last week alone. The market's biggest holders are moving coins. That matters.
The Breakout Setup
Bitcoin is pinned between the rails of a descending channel. The $64,300 level functions as the upper fence. A four-hour candle close above that threshold would signal escape velocity, Martinez explained. If that happens, the immediate target sits at $65,500, with $66,500 looming as the secondary level if momentum holds.
The setup looks clean on paper. But the on-chain picture complicates things. Large coin movements to exchange wallets typically telegraph intent to sell, especially when paired with miner activity. Miners selling suggests they're locking in gains after the recent run, which could dampen upside if the pattern accelerates.
XRP and Hyperliquid Under Pressure
Martinez also mapped critical levels for the broader alt-market. XRP hinges on the $1.06 zone. Hold that and the token has room to run. Break it and you're looking at deeper retracement risk. For Hyperliquid's native token, HYPE, the technicals turned hostile. The price hit a major resistance line right as the TD Sequential indicator flashed a sell signal. If sellers take control there, Martinez expects the token to slide toward $50.
The convergence of technical weakness and on-chain selling pressure creates a bifurcated risk. Bitcoin could breakout cleanly if the $64,300 level holds and fresh buying emerges. Or the influx of coins to exchanges could tip sentiment, crushing any rally attempt. Miners' reduced selling pace would be the first sign that pressure is easing. Watch the exchange inflow data closely over the next 48 hours.
