Binance will halt spot trading for six cryptocurrencies on August 17, continuing its 2026 campaign to refine its platform by cutting assets that no longer meet its criteria. The tokens marked for removal include Across Protocol (ACX), Hashflow (HFT), PIVX (PIVX), Vulcan Forged PYR (PYR), Vanar (VANRY), and Viction (VIC).
Trading pairs involving these tokens will shut down at 03:00 UTC on the delisting date. Binance’s decision comes after a thorough review process, evaluating factors like developer commitment, active network security, liquidity, and community support.
Vanar Token Exception
Vanar (VANRY) stands out because Binance won’t assist with the project's upcoming token contract migration. Holders need to swap their tokens independently through Vanar’s migration portal. Withdrawals on Ethereum and Polygon networks will remain available to users for the existing VANRY tokens even after delisting.
This marks the fourth major purge on Binance this year, adding to the 21 tokens already removed in 2026. Earlier rounds saw delistings including tokens like ACA, CHESS, DATA, and more. These ongoing culls highlight Binance’s focus on quality and compliance, tightening standards as it navigates a complex crypto market landscape.
