Ankr has deployed publicly accessible nodes for the XRP Ledger across Singapore, New York, Amsterdam and San Francisco. Developers can now tap free JSON-RPC endpoints without spinning up their own infrastructure, a move that arrives just before the network's v3.3.0 release.

The XRP Ledger Foundation framed the partnership as a major infrastructure upgrade. Free mainnet and testnet access means developers can build and test applications without the operational burden of running full nodes. Ankr's system automatically routes requests to the nearest node, cutting latency and providing failover if one location goes down.

The new portal displays real-time network health metrics: ledger height, median latency, global coverage, request volume, average requests per second. A Quickstart section includes ready-to-use cURL and JavaScript examples for quick onboarding. Full historical data access comes later, validators confirmed, so the current setup focuses on live network access rather than complete ledger archival.

XRP itself hovered near $1.08 on the announcement, with no immediate market reaction. The timing coincides with five proposed amendments that would touch privacy, settlement mechanics and institutional access features. The infrastructure push reflects a broader effort to lower barriers for developers building on the ledger, particularly as regional demand patterns shift and institutional interest grows.
