Onchain Lens reports ALT5 Sigma shifted 1.815 billion WLFI tokens valued at almost $100 million to a new wallet.
This transfer isn’t to an exchange, so it looks like internal reshuffling rather than a sale.
ALT5 Sigma still holds 7.28 billion WLFI tokens worth roughly $283.5 million, despite sitting on massive unrealized losses of $853 million against their original $1.24 billion cost.
To stay afloat, the firm reportedly borrowed funds from World Liberty Financial itself.
WLFI’s price shrugged off the big move and bounced from a recent dip near $0.053 to a high of $0.056, now hovering around $0.0557, up almost 3% on the day.
The altcoin’s indicators suggest growing buying pressure: the Relative Strength Index climbed to 46, hinting at a potential trend shift if it crosses 50.
Derivatives trading also spiked, with volume rising 16% to over $50 million and open interest increasing 3.2% to $227.6 million, signaling speculative interest is heating up.
If this momentum holds, WLFI could push toward $0.06, but it still needs to overcome seller resistance below the RSI 50 mark.
The transfer and price action come after ALT5 Sigma expanded its WLFI acquisition plans from $750 million to $1.5 billion earlier in the year, making it a key treasury reserve asset.
The firm’s moves highlight the tensions between holding large stakes at a loss and navigating market volatility.
Trump-linked Treasury moves continue to stir interest in WLFI, but the balance of power between buyers and sellers remains fragile.
