Zcash is holding its ground at a key technical level. The coin has pulled back to around $480, testing a long-term ascending trendline that's been supporting the broader uptrend. For now, that trendline is holding, but momentum is fading and the next few days will tell whether buyers can actually defend this level.
The setup looks tight. If ZEC holds here and reverses, the path back to $550 opens up relatively cleanly. That's roughly 15% upside from current levels. Fail to hold the trendline though, and weakness accelerates lower. The broader uptrend technically stays intact as long as this support doesn't crack, but the margin for error is shrinking. Bullish positioning has cooled noticeably over the past week, which is why every bounce attempt matters right now.
Volume has been light on recent dips, a sign that sellers aren't aggressively pushing lower. That's actually constructive. Real capitulation would come with spikes in selling volume and panic wicks below the trendline. We're not seeing that yet. Instead you're getting shallow pullbacks and quiet consolidation, which is how ranges often build before bigger moves. The question is which direction. Buyers need to show up soon or the narrative flips bearish fast.
