WEEX has introduced WEEX TradFi, a USDT-based trading service that allows crypto users to trade traditional assets such as gold, silver, crude oil, tokenized stocks, and global indices from a single account. This platform eliminates the need for a separate brokerage account or bank deposits, offering continuous 24/7 market access.
Unified Access to Crypto and Traditional Markets
Traders can now move smoothly between cryptocurrency and traditional financial products on WEEX without the usual barriers associated with conventional markets. The platform uses USDT as margin, enabling users to fund their accounts through on-chain transfers, OTC purchases, or internal transfers. Positions can be opened directly from an existing WEEX futures balance, allowing for streamlined management.
WEEX TradFi supports a broad range of global financial instruments, including major forex pairs, commodities like gold and natural gas, and popular stocks such as TSLA, AAPL, MSFT, and AMZN. Unlike typical stock ownership, these contracts provide exposure only to price movements, without conferring ownership rights, dividends, or voting privileges.
Trading Flexibility Beyond Traditional Hours
The service operates around the clock, permitting trades even when traditional markets like the NYSE or the London Bullion Market are closed. Liquidity tends to peak during standard market hours and overlapping sessions; however, traders face no restrictions on timing, enabling dynamic portfolio adjustments in real time.
A WEEX spokesperson highlighted that TradFi reduces friction by allowing USDT-margined futures traders to apply familiar strategies, including position sizing, stop-losses, and use, to traditional assets without learning a new system or opening additional accounts.
WEEX's initiative aligns with a broader effort to unify crypto and traditional finance into one platform, providing easier access for traders aiming to diversify within a single workflow.
