On July 21st, 2026, STON.fi introduced cross-chain swap functionality within its app, allowing users to transfer stablecoins between TON, TRON, Ethereum, and several EVM-compatible blockchains through a unified self-custodial interface.
This new feature links The Open Network (TON) with liquidity hubs across TRON, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Robinhood Chain. It eliminates reliance on centralized exchanges, wrapped tokens, or bridges by enabling direct stablecoin swaps.
Stablecoins lead the crypto market with a capitalization exceeding $300 billion, where TRON and Ethereum dominate. The cross-chain swap system offers TON users access to stablecoin liquidity on other networks, while TRON and EVM-based users gain direct pathways into TON-native assets, wallets, and DeFi applications.
Omniston, STON.fi’s execution layer, orchestrates the entire swapping process. Unlike simple routing or liquidity aggregation, Omniston ensures predictable pricing and settlement across multiple chains.
According to Slavik Baranov, CEO of STON.fi Dev, the protocol’s goal is to simplify experience so users focus on their goals rather than blockchain complexity. Omniston manages underlying technicalities to enable cross-chain swaps that feel as straightforward as single-network trades.
Swap completion times range from 15 to 40 seconds. Omniston connects user orders with independent liquidity providers called resolvers who supply the requested assets on destination chains. Transactions use Hashed Timelock Contracts (HTLCs) to ensure atomic settlement; either both sides finalize simultaneously or the swap is cancelled.
Users see the expected asset and amount before confirming trades. Failed swaps return funds promptly, avoiding partial executions or stuck assets.
With this launch, STON.fi expands beyond a single-chain DeFi protocol into a multi-network solution focused on user intent and smooth stablecoin liquidity flows. This update addresses growing needs for easy, self-custodial movement of value across fragmented crypto ecosystems.
