Stellantis announced a 10% rise in its preliminary vehicle shipments for Q2, totaling nearly 1.6 million units. Notably, shipments in North America surged by 38%, reaching 445,000 units, as the company continues to implement its turnaround strategy.

The increase in North American shipments was primarily driven by the popularity of models such as the Ram 1500 and refreshed versions of Jeep vehicles, including the Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee. CEO Antonio Filosa highlighted that the uptick was also influenced by preparations for a summer production shutdown.

In the Enlarged Europe region, shipments rose modestly by 5% to 762,000 units, supported by strong demand for budget-friendly models like the Citroën C3 and Opel Frontera. This figure also includes around 33,000 units from Chinese EV partner Leapmotor.

However, Stellantis faced challenges in other markets, with shipments down 3% in both the Middle East and Africa and South America, largely due to ongoing regional conflicts and a weakened Argentine market respectively. The Asia Pacific region showed no significant change.

The company is set to unveil its complete Q2 financial results on July 30. Filosa's €60 billion strategy through 2030, focusing on new model launches and technology partnerships, aims to enhance sales and improve brand positioning.
