XRP, the native cryptocurrency of the XRP Ledger (XRPL), is expected to gain momentum following Ripple Labs' recent regulatory approval in Europe. On July 6, Ripple announced it obtained a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license from the Luxembourg Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), ensuring compliance with the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA).
According to Cassie Craddock, Managing Director of Ripple's UK and European division, the CASP authorization positions Ripple to operate within a fully compliant framework and facilitates its scaling in the market. This license adds to Ripple's extensive collection of over 70 regulatory approvals across various global jurisdictions, marking a significant step toward expanding its reach in Europe.
Impact of MiCA License on XRP Ecosystem
The XRP ecosystem stands to benefit tremendously from Ripple’s MiCA license, largely driven by increased institutional interest in tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs). Ripple's efforts to enhance the XRPL have significantly influenced the growth of tokenization within the network.
Recent metrics indicate that the XRPL recorded approximately $116.29 million in RWA transfer volume over the last 30 days, representing an increase of over 130% during this timeframe. Additionally, the network has reported around 59,000 stablecoin holders, showcasing the growing utilization of the XRP Ledger.
Future XRP Price Predictions
In light of Ripple's strengthened fundamentals in Europe, predictions regarding XRP's price trajectory in the coming months have emerged. The Finbold AI Agent forecasts that XRP could see a minor decline of less than 1%, predicting a price of $1.13 by September 4, 2026.
Conversely, the highest projection from DeepSeek suggests a potential rise of about 15.79%, estimating the price might elevate from the current value of $1.14 to around $1.32. With the added momentum from Ripple's MiCA license, there are indications that XRP might rebound even further and approach the $1.50 mark sooner than anticipated.
