OKX, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a temporary halt to USDC deposit and withdrawal services on the Solana blockchain due to scheduled wallet maintenance. This service suspension will begin on July 14 at 14:30 (UTC+8) and will resume once the maintenance is completed.
The exchange emphasized that while the wallet services for USDC will be paused, trading activities involving related tokens will not be impacted. Users have been advised to refrain from conducting any USDC transactions during this maintenance period to prevent potential losses.
Circle, the issuer of USDC, recently announced an additional issuance of 250 million USDC on the Solana network, highlighting the continuous growth and use of stablecoins within the ecosystem.
In addition, Solana has achieved a significant milestone by crossing epoch 1,000, showcasing the network's robustness with over 5.5 years of operation, 432,000 final slots, and substantial transactional throughput.
