On July 10, 2026, LTP announced the launch of Liquidity Arena, the world’s first live quantitative trading championship tailored for AI agents and autonomous trading systems. Set to begin on July 20, the event has attracted over 200 teams from around the globe, establishing it as the largest AI-focused trading competition to date. The competition gained support from more than 20 academic and institutional partners, in addition to media and quantitative trading platforms.
Jack Yang, Founder and CEO of LTP, emphasized that the real challenge for AI agents in trading lies in the infrastructure rather than the models. He stated, “Multi-asset execution, real liquidity, and institutional-grade clearing are essential for serious autonomous trading.” The Liquidity Arena provides a live testing ground that meets these requirements.
Solid Infrastructure and Real Trading
The championship operates on LTP’s robust infrastructure, which processes over $1.2 trillion in annual trading volume across more than 25 major global exchanges. Participants will engage in real trading environments instead of simulations, benefiting from genuine liquidity and low-latency execution. LTP caters to a diverse clientele that includes proprietary trading teams, high-frequency traders, hedge funds, and family offices, all while adhering to a multi-jurisdictional regulatory framework.
Two Competitive Tracks
Liquidity Arena features two distinct tracks:
- Track A Logic Frontier: Intended for AI developers, university representatives, and agent builders, this track focuses on AI systems competing as autonomous traders. They will be assessed not only on financial returns but also on the quality of their reasoning and their ability to interpret market signals. This track operates within LTP’s RapidX environment during demo and live-capital phases.
- Track B Liquidity Pro: Aimed at hedge funds and institutional desks, this track evaluates participants based on risk-adjusted returns, execution quality, and slippage control. Competitors can participate via Direct Market Access (DMA), RapidX, or their own trading venues.
A Lucrative Prize Pool
The championship features a prize pool exceeding $300,000. Top teams will be awarded more than $100,000 in cash prizes, while an additional $200,000 will be allocated in ecosystem benefits, including AI agent credits, token rewards, LTP VIP trading tiers, clearing-fee rebates, and career opportunities in digital assets and quantitative finance.
