Hazeflow, a crypto research company led by Pavel Paramonov, will cease operations as its founder steps away from the crypto sector for at least one month. Paramonov stated the shutdown was not voluntary and did not specify the underlying causes behind the decision.
Founder’s announcement and team transition
On X, Paramonov described the closure as an involuntary choice, emphasizing that founders rarely close income-generating businesses willingly. He refrained from detailing whether financial, regulatory, or market-driven pressures forced the shutdown. He shared a positive outlook on the company's journey and expressed appreciation to clients, partners, and employees.
Before departing, Paramonov encouraged companies to consider recruiting Hazeflow’s researchers and designers who are now seeking new roles. He invited interested organizations to contact him directly for talent acquisition.
Context of crypto industry pressures
Hazeflow’s shutdown adds to a trend of crypto firms halting or suspending operations in 2026 amid complex business, regulatory, and operational challenges. For example, earlier this month, AscendEX exchange paused services, citing regulatory requirements under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets framework alongside financial difficulties.
Paramonov mentioned feeling disappointed with the crypto industry but did not elaborate on specific grievances. The timeline for Hazeflow’s complete wind-down was not disclosed.
