Crypto Market Snapshot: Major Coins Slide as Volatility Grips Digital Assets

The cryptocurrency market is flashing red across the board this morning, with most major digital assets registering notable losses. Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, is trading at $58,731.00, down 1.98% over the past 24 hours. Ethereum follows a similar path, shedding 0.95% to settle at $1,560.80, while BNB dips 1.55% to $544.87.
Among the most significant decliners in the top-tier assets, XRP has dropped 2.52% to $1.03, and Solana has slipped 1.49% to $72.48. Dogecoin has taken a harder hit, falling 4.47% to $0.069923, underscoring the fragile sentiment among meme coin investors. AAVE recorded a steep 5.89% loss, now priced at $87.43, while UNI tumbled 6.26% to $2.78.
Not all assets are in retreat, however. A handful of tokens are defying the broader downtrend. KAS surged 9.83% to $0.03112187, while M token posted an impressive 13.62% gain, reaching $0.648918. TAC climbed 14.32% to $0.061409, and UB jumped 12.21% to $0.115943. Among the more unusual movers, CX skyrocketed 58.67% to $0.118512, and SYN posted an extraordinary 66.63% gain, reaching $0.669969 — making it one of the standout performers of the session.
On the stablecoin front, most dollar-pegged assets are holding their ground with negligible deviations. USDC trades at $0.999597, USDT-equivalent instruments remain near parity, and RLUSD sits at $0.999893. Gold-backed tokens are also seeing slight pressure, with XAUT at $4,005.72 (down 0.70%) and PAXG at $4,009.16 (down 0.66%).
In the mid-cap segment, losses are widespread. Cardano (ADA) fell 2.11% to $0.142481, AVAX dropped 2.99% to $6.41, and NEAR declined 2.73% to $1.81. Layer-2 tokens are also struggling — ARB is down 3.13% to $0.073785, OP shed 5.95% to $0.095561, and STX declined 4.30% to $0.160887.
Among the sharpest single-session drops, GWEI plunged a staggering 41.83%, while LAB cratered 27.35% and KAU shed 17.89%. ENA declined 10.93%, and TIA fell 9.31%, reflecting growing risk aversion across the altcoin space.
DeFi and AI-related tokens are not sparing investors either. FET dropped 5.54% to $0.168412, RENDER declined 3.78% to $1.50, and GRASS lost 6.95% to $0.462238. Meanwhile, some smaller tokens are bucking the trend — LIT gained 7.75%, DEXE rose 6.19%, and BAS climbed 8.07%.
Overall, today's session paints a picture of a market under pressure, with sellers in control across most asset classes. While select tokens are posting outsized gains, the broad-based selling pressure suggests that investor confidence remains fragile. Traders will be watching key support levels on Bitcoin and Ethereum closely as the session progresses.
