Cardano (ADA) is currently trading within a descending wedge pattern, and a breakout might push its price as high as $0.60. The analysis was presented by Crypto Banter’s Sheldon during a recent YouTube livestream outlining ADA’s technical setup and possible price targets.
Examining the weekly ADA/USDT chart, Sheldon pointed out a well-defined descending wedge where the lower support line traces back to the October 10 low at $0.27. The upper resistance was established after the early December peak near $0.48. Over several months, ADA has oscillated between these boundaries while the support has proven resilient, especially during a significant multi-year level retest. For context, ADA fell to a low of $0.138 in June 2026 amid increased bearish pressure before bouncing 27% to around $0.175. The coin now approaches the wedge's upper resistance.
Sheldon emphasized the $0.20 mark as critical. If ADA reclaims that level and trades above it, this would confirm a breakout from the descending wedge. Achieving this would require a roughly 14% rally from ADA’s current price. Should that breakout materialize, ADA’s price could climb between $0.50 and $0.60, representing a 186% to 243% gain from today’s levels. These price points align with the last levels seen in November 2025.
Regarding timing, Sheldon expects ADA to remain trapped within the wedge until approximately September 2026. This outlook fits broader expectations that the crypto market will begin a sustainable recovery in the final quarter of the year. He also described the current ADA price as an attractive entry for traders, particularly with the potential move towards $0.20.
Short-Term Price Movement and Additional Analysis
In a related technical review, Cardano SPO Ssebi identified an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on the daily chart. The pattern’s left shoulder formed at $0.148 on June 6, the head at $0.138 on June 25, and the right shoulder at $0.155 on July 13. This setup projects a target near $0.25, indicating a 43% increase from current prices.
