Binance Signals Potential Delisting of Four Altcoins Amid Market Reaction
Binance has placed AEUR, PYR, SCRT, and VANRY on its Monitoring Tag list, leading to significant price drops amid fears of potential delisting.

On July 3, Binance issued a warning regarding the potential delisting of four altcoins: AEUR, PYR, SCRT, and VANRY, placing them on its Monitoring Tag list. This announcement led to significant price drops, with both PYR and SCRT experiencing declines of 11% within hours across various exchanges.
Details of the Monitoring Tag
The Monitoring Tag serves as an official alert from Binance indicating that a cryptocurrency faces increased risks and may be removed from the platform if its performance continues to deteriorate. This notice implies that these projects may not fully comply with the exchange's stringent listing requirements.
The four affected tokens represent diverse sectors: AEUR is a euro-pegged stablecoin, PYR is integral to gaming and metaverse infrastructures, SCRT focuses on privacy as a Layer 1 solution, and VANRY is aimed at AI infrastructure.
Trading Restrictions and User Requirements
Even with the Monitoring Tag applied, traders remain able to buy and sell these tokens on the Binance exchange. However, users must complete a risk acknowledgment quiz every 90 days and accept revised Terms of Use to maintain access to trading on both Spot and Margin platforms. Binance conducts regular evaluations of projects based on team engagement, liquidity, development progress, community support, and regulatory compliance. A lack of progress in these areas may hasten delisting timelines.
Market Response to the Announcement
The market reacted quickly to Binance's announcement, leading to a notable decline in both PYR and SCRT, down 11% in the last 24 hours, reflecting a rush to sell amid fears of delisting. Conversely, AEUR maintained stability, trading around $1.12, while VANRY saw a slight gain of 1% during the same period.
This incident follows a broader trend where Binance previously placed other cryptocurrencies such as ACT, BLUR, PIVX, and QKC on the Monitoring Tag in June, with some later undergoing complete delisting.
